No Bake Oreo Cheesecake

Everyone who knows Marnie Fernandez understands that powerlifting is one of his favorite activities. To reach the fitness level of a competitive powerlifter they must maintain a strict diet. So, what do you do when you have a craving for cheesecake? Marnie looked up this recipe online one day, made it for his family to enjoy, and ate a very small piece to satisfy his cravings.


Ingredients:

1 pkgOreo cookies - 36 cookies
5 tbspbutter, melted
8 ozcream cheese
¼ cupsugar
1 tspvanilla extract
1 cup milk, warm
1 pkgunflavored gelatin



Instructions:

  1. Separate cream from cookies. Place cream in one bowl and Oreo cookies in a gallon-sized ziploc bag
  2. Crush Oreos in Ziploc bag until fine, and set aside one cup for the topping
  3. Mix the rest of the crumbs with the melted butter
  4. Place mixture in a 9-inch baking pan and refrigerate for 30-60 minutes
  5. In a separate pot, mix cream cheese, sugar, cream from cookies and vanilla extract on low heat until smooth
  6. Mix warm milk with gelatin and pour into cream cheese mixture. Stir until it bubbles slightly
  7. Remove cookie-crust from refrigerator and pour mixture into the pan
  8. Sift 1 cup of dusted cookie crumbs on top
  9. Refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours before cutting and serving
