This dish is special to me because it is the first and only dish that I can make by myself. This dish brings joy to my family, even my grandparents. They say it is "refreshing." Ice Cake is easy to make and yummy!

Ingredients:

1 can12 fl. oz. evaporated milk
1-1/2 cupwater
1-1/2 cupsyrup -- lilikoi, strawberry, or vanilla

Instructions:

  1. Combine the evaporated milk, water and syrup together. Mix well.
  2. Pour desired amount into 4 oz. paper cups and freeze for 3 hours -- up to 2 weeks.
  3. Optional: briefly run the cups upside down under warm water to loosen the ice cake, then flip back over into the cup, bottom up.
  4. Serve with a spoon -- a small wooden spoon, if available

Yields 10-12 servings
