Mochi - Chi Chi Dango

butter or nonstick spray
16 oz boxmochiko sweet rice flour
2 cupsgranulated sugar
13.5 oz cancoconut milk
2 cupswater
7-10 dropsfood coloring
corn or potato starch


  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. In a large bowl, mix together mochiko flour, sugar, coconut milk, and water until the batter is smooth
  3. Mix in food coloring
  4. Pour mixture into a greased 9” x 13” pan and cover pan with foil
  5. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes
  6. Let cool for 2 - 5 hours.
  7. Cut into pieces and roll in corn or potato starch
