I'm a student a Kōloa Elementary School and I would like to share with you my mango bread recipe. Enjoy!


1 sticksalted butter
1 - 3 cupsmashed mango
1-1/2 cupsflour
3/4 cupwhite or brown sugar
1 tspvanilla extract
1 tspbaking soda


  1. Mix all ingredients, except the baking soda. The consistency should be like a brownie batter -- not too thick and not too runny.
  2. Add baking soda and give a few stirs. Don’t over-stir or your bread won’t rise.
  3. Pour in a 8 x 4 inch bread pan
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean
  5. Optional, sprinkle chocolate chips on top before baking
