What motto best describes your outlook on life?
I would say a motto that's helped me a lot this year is to not stress over things you can't control! In school there are a lot of things to stress over but just try your best and have fun and everything will work out!
What has being awarded the Grove Farm Scholarship meant to you?
The Grove Farm Scholarship means so so much to me! Not only is it an amazing financial help, it also proves that I have people who believe in me and know that I can succeed in my studies. Grove Farm has supported me so much in these past years and I am so grateful to them.
What did you miss the most?
Moving away from the home that I've known my entire life has been no easy feat. However, it has been a great way to know myself better and experience the world. I've learned that I am truly excited to progress in the architecture branch, high-stakes projects and creativity is where I thrive and I am so glad I chose this major! Living in the city, however, has also made me realize how much I miss the community of Kauai.
What drives you?
I am driven by my future goals. I strongly wish to gain at least a bachelor's degree in the BEnvD program and use my knowledge to create a career that will better people's lives on Kauai and in Hawaii. Thinking about this helps me get through hard and confusing times in my major, knowing that it will all pay off in the end.
